Midco Taps Harmonic to Fuel Next-Generation Broadband Services
Harmonic’s cOS Platform Supports DOCSIS and Fiber, Enabling Midco to Deliver Reliable Multi-Gigabit Connectivity to Subscribers
SAN JOSE, Calif., Sept. 10, 2025 /PRNewswire/ — Harmonic (NASDAQ: HLIT) today announced that Midco, a leading broadband operator in the Midwest, is leveraging Harmonic’s industry-leading cOS™ virtualized broadband platform to modernize its network and deliver reliable multi-gigabit connectivity to subscribers. Harmonic’s solution provides Midco with a robust network foundation to support DOCSIS and fiber services, powering the operator’s $500 million Fiber Forward investment, an expansive commitment that leverages the company’s robust fiber network and next-gen fiber technology to bring 10 gigabit speeds to the region.
“Network evolution is central to our strategy for delivering the region’s most reliable broadband services and providing exceptional customer experiences,” said Bill Chatwell, senior vice president of technology at Midco. “Harmonic’s virtualized broadband platform supports DOCSIS and fiber from the same solution, while offering outstanding uptime and proven performance — making them the clear choice.
